Antonio Marra
The works of Antonio Marra, an Italian living in Germany, provide a fascinating visual experience. The artist builds deep, precise strokes through thick paint, to create interlacing geometries. As the viewer shifts perspective, brightly colored patterns kaleidoskopically unfold providing three distinct views to each of the paintings.
Marra was born in Italy, but has resided in Germany for many years. He has exhibited in Germany and throughout Europe since the early 1990s, but only recently exhibited in the United States. His work is held in public collections including the Museum Explora Frankfurt, Frankfurt am Main, Germany and the Ritter Museum Stuttgart, Stuttgart, Germany, among others.
