Markus Linnenbrink
Markus Linnenbrink creates decadently colorful paintings rife with drips, resin pools, and carefully layered tactile surfaces that suggest the spontaneity of a highly intuitive process.
Linnenbrink was born in Germany where he attended Gesamthochschule in Kassel and Academy of Fine Arts in Berlin. His work is included in the permanent collections of The Hague Ministry of Culture in the Netherlands, the Hood Museum of Art at Dartmouth College, Hanover, NH, Museum Neue Galerie, Kassel, Germany, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the San Jose Museum of Art and UCLA’s Hammer Museum in Los Angeles among others.
