ERIC ZENER: Renewal

Scott Richards Contemporary Art inaugurates the opening of its new location in San Francisco with RENEWAL, a solo exhibition of paintings by internationally renown Bay Area painter, Eric Zener.

We proudly introduce our new San Francisco gallery located at 501 Pacific Avenue, in the storied and charming neighborhood of Jackson Square. The gallery will officially open its doors with RENEWAL, an exhibition of paintings by Eric Zener, marking the artist’s first solo presentation in the Bay Area since 2015. The opening reception will take place on Saturday, October 21, 2023, from 4-6 pm and the exhibition will continue through November 30.

Aptly titled RENEWAL, Zener’s exhibition features a series of large scale, hyperrealist, figurative oil paintings that are both haunting and beautiful. Painted mostly during the years of the pandemic, the new body of work celebrate humanity’s remarkable capacity for adaptation while conveying the artist’s sincere sentiments of hope and renewal for his beloved Northern California Coast and for the city of San Francisco.
